Identification #

One of the red-fruited Cladonia species. C. granulans can be separated from many of the others with red apothecia by the very weakly formed cups. C. transcendens is similar, with weakly formed cups and red apothecia, but has farinose soredia rather than rugose subglobose verruculae (CLH).
