Identification #

Best recognized by the soralia. Similar in appearance to R. obtusata but in that species the soralia are found on the ends of hood-like lobes. R. scoparia is also similar but has more slender lobes and is expected of rock. Apothecia for this species have not been reported (CLH) and if present likely represent another Ramalina species.
