Identification #

Peltigera cinnamomea is a grayish, olive, or greenish pelt lichen recognized by the reddish veins on the lower surface of the lobes paired with a tomentose upper surface. P. praetextata is morphologically similar but has abundant lobules and brown veins (Brodo et al. 2001). The red veins may be less conspicuous in desiccated material.
