Identification #
This species looks similar to the ubiquitous species Peltigera malacea as both species have veinless lower surfaces. P. lyngei differs from P. malacea by having a scabrose upper surface which lacks a tomentum (Holtan-Hartwig 1988, McMullin & Miadlikowska 2022). This species grows on tundras among heaths (Spribille et al 2023).
