Identification #

The most narrow-lobed of the Platismatia genus. Isidiate margins along the ribbon-like lobes. Lower surface patched with areas of bright white and dark brown to black. Upper surface light green to browned in very sunny sites. Apothecia rare.

Notes #

Coastal Alaska northwest to the Kenai Peninsula and Kodiak Island. William McClain collected it in Anchorage in 1975 but it is very likely locally extirpated in the Anchorage area today.
